coconut oil review and giveaway

Wednesday, May 01, 2013
When I started the journey to eating more clean and real foods one of the things I tried to stop using was vegetable and canola oils. The research that I've read said to use coconut oil instead. I talked to some friends who have switched and got the low-down on coconut oil. I was excited to give it a try and get some of the not so great oils out of my house. I found a great sale on expeller-pressed coconut oil on the Tropical Traditions website when I was first starting this journey so I bought it to give it a try. I later received a 32 ounce jar of the Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil to try and review. (If you order by clicking on any of my links and have never ordered from Tropical Traditions in the past, you will receive a free book on Virgin Coconut Oil, and I will receive a discount coupon for referring you)

I am so glad that I've tried both kids of coconut oil. The expeller-pressed oil is just the coconut oil without any coconut flavor. The virgin coconut oil has a slight coconut flavor but it's not crazy coconut flavor and it's a great little sweet addition to lots of things. I've used the virgin coconut oil in homemade brownies, granola bars, and my friend even used in to make popcorn (which gave it a slight sweet flavor!). I really liked the coconut oil and I will be buying more when my jars run out!! I really hope you'll give it a try because it's a great substitute for the oils that are made in factories!! One of you lucky readers will WIN your own quart of the Gold label virgin coconut oil!
Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil - 32 oz.
Win 1 quart of Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil!
Tropical Traditions is America’s source for coconut oil. Their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is hand crafted in small batches by family producers, and it is the highest quality coconut oil they offer. You can read more about how virgin coconut oil is different from other coconut oils on their website: What is Virgin Coconut Oil?

Tropical Traditions also carries other varieties of affordable high quality coconut oil. Visit their website to check on current sales, to learn about the many uses of coconut oil, and to read about all the advantages of buying coconut oil online. Since the FDA does not want us to discuss the health benefits of coconut oil on a page where it is being sold or given away, here is the best website to read about the health benefits of coconut oil.

I learned that Tropical Traditions also sells Goat-Milk Instant Powder. Very random and now I'm curious about this product. I've never had goat milk before, moreover in instant form.

Even though I've looked at their coconut oil on their website many times, I had no idea they carried a shampoo bar! Next time I order, I will seriously consider that, as I'm looking into a simple shampoo solution.
