TVStoreOnline review...and giveaway!!
Hey friends, it is almost time for my kids to start school...did your kids start already? Do you take your kids shopping to pick out some new clothes to start the year with or do you have them look through what they already have? I think we may go find everyone a new outfit or at least a new shirt to wear for their first day. But honestly we have so much clothes they don't really need anything. However, they would look great in some of the awesome shirts and sweatshirts that TVStoreOnline has to offer. I found a few of my favorites from their website to show you.
My family is full of Star Wars fans so I'm sure they'd fight over this one...

This Wonder Woman hoodie is so much fun. I just don't think I could pull it off

My little man, Josiah, would LOVE to have a Chase hoodie. He is obsessed with paw patrol!! Maybe
I'll have to get it for him for Christmas!

How cool is this vintage Ghostbusters shirt...it even GLOWS in the DARK!! yay!!!

This one is perfect for myself and all my art teacher friends out there!!

There are so many classics to choose from. Great movie shirts, tv show shirts and popular icons like M&Ms and crayons. I think the hardest part would be choosing which shirts would fit in my budget because there are so MANY great ones to choose from and we all know that my basic wardrobe is tshirts, jeans and hoodies!! Wait till you see which hoodie I picked out for myself...scroll down to see it.

I'm not a fan of running but I LOVE this shirt!!

I loved Saved by the Bell as a teenager so I went with the classic "Bayside Tigers" sweatshirt! It is SUPER comfy and I love the hood, which is a little bigger than traditional hoods. It fits me great and I can't wait for it to cool down a bit more outside so I can wear it more!! The shipping was super fast and it came packaged nicely.
Here's the super fun part. The great people at TVStoreOnline are giving one of you your choice of hoodie or tshirt! Consider it a "Back to School" gift...and you don't have to share it with your kids if you don't want to. You can get yourself a back to school gift too.
GIVEAWAY RULES

First 7 images are from TVStoreOnline.com. Last two images are my own. This honest review was in exchange for a hoodie of my choice.

start creative review and discount code.
Can someone please tell me why in the world they make you "mail away" for your child's birth certificate? Who in their right, newborn, sleep deprived, zombie state of mind is able to function enough to get that done...well, don't answer that because I'm am sure there are MANY moms who actually get their child's birth certificate in a timely manner. I, however am not one of them. I've had "Get Hannah's birth certificate" on my to-do list for a long time...she is afterall FIVE! Five! I'm so behind the times. It always got pushed to the bottom of the list. But I am proud to tell you that after five long years Hannah finally has a certified official birth certificate. Well, as you can imagine if I didn't have Hannah's I must not have had Abi and Josiah's, and you are correct. However, theirs were easier to get since I actually live in the state where they were born. I just had to go to a place, pay some money and wait three minutes. Easy. Done. Cross it off the list! Yay! Honestly I don't know what has taken me soooo long to get that done but now it is. So yay!
I had to take the three little kids with me when I went to get the local birth certificates and while it was a short visit the girls get restless REALLY fast. Do you have kids like that? Well, I certainly do. But I had something in my purse (which always stays in my purse now) for just a time like this. I have these awesome doodle books that I got from Start Creative and they are always in my purse for moments when I need my kids to sit for a bit and be quiet.
There are three different books with 32 pages each that have a different doodle prompt on them. These books leave the creative window wide open and just encourage you to "start"! I love these books. I don't have games on my phone for my kids to play so we usually have to resort to "eye spy" or something similar. But these little books are a mini life saver in those "in between" moments. They are great for our wait at the dentist office, the eye doctor, the birth certificate office and even church. I know these seem like something that would be easy to make but honestly when was the last time you ever actually made something from your pinterest board? Oh is that only me? Well for those of you that like to have non-technological things in your bag of tricks to help your kids calmly pass some time please consider these awesome, well made, thoughtful, thought provoking and creative starting books!!
I asked Amy if she would be willing to give you, my readers, a discount for these awesome books and she agreed!! YAY!! So head over to Start Creative and use the code "PUREJOY10" for 10% off your purchase! You will not be disappointed...but hurry the code is only good until March 13th.

These doodle books were given to me free of charge for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own!

navy seal noel book review
Time is precious...especially time around the holidays. But when you find a good book you want to read it...all....quickly. This was one of those books. This is the third book in a series from Liz Johnson that I've had the privilege to read and review. I love Liz's writing style and how she makes her characters come to life. She starts out the story with a bang and keeps you turning the pages with her quick whit and suspense. I don't want to give too much of the book away...but I've got some great little pieces from Liz herself to help wet your appetite for this great story of suspense, action and romance.
Summary: A LETHAL REUNION
Abducted
by a drug cartel, scientist Jessalynn McCoy's orders are simple—release
a deadly toxin, or be killed. Trapped with no options, she's desperate
for help…she just never expected it from Will Gumble. The boy who let
her down years ago is now a navy SEAL. She trusts his skills, his
experience. Yet trusting him is a struggle. Will's Christmas wish
is to heal their damaged relationship and get them to safety. But time
is running out and someone is on to their escape plans. Any mistake
could mean the difference between facing the holidays together or apart.
Forever.

Excerpt:
“Jess, calm down. I won’t hurt you.” The words made no sense to her
muddled brain, but they continued, quiet and assured. “Don’t scream.
It’s all right. I won’t let anything happen to you.”
It wasn’t the words that made her sink into him, but the voice that,
even after all this time, she’d recognize anywhere. Her eyes hadn’t been
playing tricks on her that afternoon. Will Gumble was in this compound.
In her very room.
“I thought I saw you—I thought that was you, but…” Her words were
little more than a whisper despite his assurance that it was safe to
speak. Her stomach pitched, fear and relief mingling with alarm and the
echo of a remembered betrayal. But dealing with her emotions would have
to wait until she felt steadier on her feet. Exhaustion and the ebbing
of her fight-or-flight adrenaline rush had left her legs like jelly. She
leaned into Will. He held out his arms, as though he knew just what she
needed. As though he was still someone who cared about taking care of
her, being there for her.
But she didn’t want him holding her. She wanted answers. She wanted to
understand what on earth was happening. Most of all, she wanted to
silence the little voice in her head that kept saying Will’s appearance
was simply a dream or hallucination.
Yanking herself upright at the last possible moment, she shoved his
chest with both hands. “You scared me to death! Why did you break into
my room? What are you doing here?”
His lopsided grin had always started with a little quirk to the left
before spreading across his mouth. And that hadn’t changed, even as he
looked down at the tiny black-and-white-checkered floor tiles.
He scraped his fingers over the black whiskers covering his chin. “Your dad sent me.”
“My dad?”
“Well, I couldn’t say no to my new XO, could I?”
“So you’re still in the navy?” Oh, she sounded bitter—so much more
bitter than she wanted to. Why couldn’t her words be flippant and
nonchalant, as if it didn’t really matter that she no longer knew even
the most basic things about him? He’d popped back into her life, and she
didn’t want it to matter.
But it did.
Maybe because of the extreme situation.
Sure. She’d just keep telling herself that.
His smile flickered for a moment before he nodded slowly. “I am.”
Forcing a chuckle, she said, “I figured when my dad realized I was missing, he’d send a SEAL team to bring me home.”
“Not a full team—he just sent one.”

freshly picked review and giveaway
You guys, I am SO stinkin excited to be able to write this post! I was browsing IG about a month ago (which is where I hang out MOST in the social media world...more than FB anyway) and I came across people talking about Freshly Picked and how Susan was going to be on Shark Tank. I decided to check out her feed because Greg and I love to watch Shark Tank and boy was I excited. She makes the most adorable moccasins I'd ever seen. So, I made sure to tune in to her Shark Tank episode and I am so glad I did. She made a deal with Damon John and she's going to do SOOO well. They will make a great team.
Okay, if you have no idea what I was talking about up there just hang on because I want you to see these adorable moccasins. I want you to reach over to your phone screen or monitor and feel the soft almost velvety leather that is used on these moccasins. Amazing. So luxurious. I noticed on her IG feed that she had a call out to bloggers to do a review and giveaway of her moccasins...I was floored, I sent a request email right away. I thought this was too good to be true. Because seriously people these moccasins are amazing but with a Pastor's income and four small children I couldn't spend that kind of money on a pair of shoes for the baby. I was so excited when I got the email back saying that I had been accepted and asking me what color and size I would like to review!! AHH!!! SO excited. Sweet little Abi has only one pair of shoes that stay on her petite little feet right now so I was ready to get her another pair. I ordered a 5 but she truly is in a 4 right now but I wanted her to be able to wear them for longer than a couple of months. I ordered the Radiant Orchid because I thought it was a very suitable color for Abi. Later I found out (because apparently I've been living under a rock for the last few months) that Radiant Orchid is the Color of the Year. Yay!! Double Win! These moccasins are so incredible. Abi loves to take her shoes off but she hasn't been able to take these off by herself...yet, they are easy for me to pull off and put back on. The leather is amazing and I just know she's going to love wearing these since they look and feel so luxurious.
I cannot wait to take Abi out in the sunshine and photograph these for real. But I didn't have much time to get them photographed before I left to attend my uncle's funeral...so these will work for now!

And she's spent!
One of you...my lucky readers...will get to win a pair of these adorable Freshly Picked Moccasins for your little one!! There are a few ways to enter...do one or all of them matters not to me.
