I just wanted to take a minute...or ten
to tell you about this little man.
More for me than you!
I need to remember what he's like at this age!
He is turning two in less than a month...
I cannot believe that he's already gonna be 2!!!
That's crazy!
This little man stole my heart the second I laid eyes on him.
He is such a joy to be around and
makes me laugh on a daily basis.
He is a great sleeper and finally about a month ago
stopped crying every time I put him to bed.
He now will lay down on his tummy,
tuck his hands under his tummy
make sure his head is right next to the crib bars
and then pucker his cute lips for a kiss through the bars.
I think he has a certain amount of times that he needs to hear
"I love you"
because if I don't say it enough
he'll whine a little when I leave,
but if I just stick my head back in and say
"I love you"
he's satisfied and goes to sleep.
He loves to snuggle and be held.
Which is awesome,
except when I'm trying to make dinner.
He throws a fit when we leave him places
but within two minutes he's content and playing.
He loves to check every once in a while
to make sure someone is around.
He'll be happily playing and then just go,
"mama mama" or "dada dada"
in the sweetest voice.
We just have to say something, like
"right here bubba" or "love you little man"
and he'll go back to whatever he was doing.
I have that sweet voice ingrained in my head
and I don't ever want it to go away.
He doesn't say a TON of words but he's getting better
at trying new words and he knows how to communicate.
He recently started adding the ends of the words on.
He used to say "bu" for book but now says
"booka" which sounds like boot but with a "K"
and milk is more pronounced too.
Let's see if I can remember all the words he says,
mama, dada, nana (Naomi), ball, book, milk, dog,
mi mou (mickey mouse), hi, buh bye, choo choo,
red, yellow, blue, door, wall,
He knows all his body parts,
but loves pointing them out on other people best.
He's ticklish and loves to tickle other people as well.
He loves to wrestle and tackle Naomi and dada.
He is starting to enjoy books more and more!
He LOVES to play outside and
loves to play with balls and his choo choos (trains)
He knows lots of animal noises but usually says
RAWR
for most of them.
Ever heard a cow that says RAWR?
we have and we love it!
This little man is such an amazing blessing in our lives.
We are so fortunate to have him as part of our family.
He really knows how to pull at my heartstrings.
And he really knows how to throw a fit!!
Well, he is a toddler, what do you expect!
Love you little man and I can't wait to
see what the future holds for you!
Here's a few photos that I grabbed of him the other day
while we were enjoying the awesome weather!!
