Naomi is starting to learn how to play with other children rather than just next to them. Sometimes it's better if they just do their own thing but it's fun to see her learning to share and play with other kids. Sophia was over last week for a couple of hours and they played together so well. No one needed a time out or even a stern talking to! It was fun to see them play together and I'm excited to see where their friendship goes in the future. On Saturday night we had our friends Billy and Anna over for dinner. Anna and Billy are foster parents to three adorable children. Two little boys and a cute little girl. Toddler boy J is Naomi's age and then the two others are 8 and 7 months old. Billy and Anna are... busy... let's just put it that way (we discussed how we hate it when people tell us that we have our hands full) but they are lovin ever second. After dinner we went outside and Naomi and J decided to test the waters. It was funny, we felt like we were experiencing their first boy/girl party! They had a great time splashing in the water and playing with the hose. We had a great time having adult conversation and just hanging out with friends. Thanks Billy and Anna for taking time to come and hang out with us!

As I took all 5 kids to the doctor this morning with me, I can't even count the number of times I got the "you sure have your hands full" remark. I am just plain sick of hearing it. Like we don't know we have our hands full as all 5 of the kids are either crying or going crazy. Do we really need someone to point that out to us? I try to think of something clever to say back, but I just smile and say "we sure do!" Ahhh, I have been struggling with this for years! I guess one day soon I will miss those comments.

Thanks for having us over! We can't wait to do it again.
