time for the zoo

Friday morning Amy and I took the kids to the zoo. We got a season pass so it's nice to be able to take friends for free (and to be able to go for just a couple of hours and not have to worry about whether you got your money's worth). Amy just had to pay for Jake because Sophia is still free! 3 and under are free. Why don't more places do that? This 2 and under are free stuff is silly. What does a 2 year old really get out of some of those places? They just want our money. Okay, I'm done ranting.

We had a good time. It was in the 50's but REALLY windy, so that made it feel a little colder. They have the new Africa Live area open now so we got to see the hippos swimming and Naomi loved looking at the different fish they had in there. The exhibit is not completely finished but it was good to see what's going on in there. They were waiting for their shipment of Nile Crocodiles so it'll be interesting to see those when they come in. So, if you visit and you want to go to the zoo I can get one person in for free...unless Greg goes along and then it's his free ticket :).
