traveling kisses

Monday, June 14, 2010
After our two and half week vacation,
we got home on a Thursday,
I left on Friday to drive 2.5 hours to a wedding.
I photographed the wedding on Saturday,
then drove back on Sunday.
It's been a little crazy, and my house has still not recovered!
(I will do a few posts about our vacation later)

Then we had a little bit of a busy week
and on Friday, (june 11th) Greg left at 6:15am
to get to church, to leave for Colorado
with 6 youth and one other adult
for their servant event with Group Workcamps.
They made it to Colorado (after staying one night
in Amarillo, Texas) safe and sound.

I like to do little things for Greg while he's gone.
So, I found some great cards and wrote him notes,
that he gets to open each day.
I also made him a little flip book of
Naomi blowing him kisses.
I know he's going to miss his snuggle time
with the kids and I and I KNOW he'll miss
his little girls hugs and kisses (and mine and Micah's too I'm sure).

I saw this idea on the AMAZING blog
Color Me Katie
you have to go check it out if you've never seen it before.
She has so much fun and spreads so much cheer to the people around here.
I've got a couple of other projects that I'm working on that
were inspired by her and her blog (but I'll share those later).

So, here's just a few pics of the flip book.
So when he flips through the book he gets more and more kisses!
He called me last night and told me that it was 50 degrees and raining.
But today they got to go to the Red Rocks Ampitheatre...
he sent me this photo that he took on his phone.
Oh, how I wish I was there.
To be with him, to serve, and to take some photos!!The group will be returning on Saturday the 19th.
But before you start feeling sorry for me for having to
be alone with two small children and one on the way for a week,
I must tell you that my sweet parents drove down to spend the week with us!
We'll get to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday and
my parents 38th Anniversary while they are here!! yay!!
Oh and Father's Day too!

I've got a great t-shirt in the works for the kids to wear
on Father's Day (seems to be my tradition now)
and I'll share it as soon as I have it done!

You are so very lucky, Jamie....you seem to get a lot of help with your kids so you can do what you love to do. I guess no one wants to take on my five! For sure when #6 comes we will be down and out for any takers! Enjoy your help for all of us that don't get any!
