paper trumpets

What started out as a project for ping pong balls turned into paper towel tube trumpets. The kids had fun decorating the tubes, then I taped some together in order to make them longer and then we got the ping pong balls out. Thank goodness we got our ping pong ball plinko from grandpa T while we were in Arkansas or we wouldn't have had any ping pong balls. The kids loved putting the ping pong balls in the tubes and watching them come out the other end...but that only lasted so long. They eventually started talking into the tubes and then playing them like trumpets. It's awesome how everyday "garbage" can be turned into a toy that kids will play with for hours...okay let's be realistic here...that they will play with for minutes! many minutes at least!
