wednesday
Wednesday was another fun day, but a much more relaxed day. We spent the morning with Holly and Gene and the boys because they were leaving that day. Naomi and Andrew enjoyed reading some books together before they left. We just went at our own pace the rest of the day, swimming, play Wii and singing with the Wii and waiting for Doug to get back from the hospital. Here are some photos from our day!

blake & lydia
I got a phone call this week from Lydia. I had meet Lydia a couple of times before and was excited to hear that she recently got engaged! So exciting that she called me to do her engagement photography (thanks Kari!). Since Lydia is a teacher and will be heading back to school soon and since the wedding will be here before they know it, they wanted to get their engagment photos done as soon as possible! No problem! We went down to the riverwalk and spent some time "playing scrabble" at Jim Cullum's Landing. Then we walked around a bit and got some great shots! LOTS of kissing during this session.
I had a blast working with Blake and Lydia and really hope they love their photos! I am so excited to be getting more referal work and just more work in general, it really helps me see how much I LOVE my job and yet, how much I still need to learn! Here are a few photos...check out my photography blog for a bunch more!

tuesday
On Tuesday it was the ladies turn to go out without the little kids. Since Dana was at the hospital with Doug she wasn't able to join us, but Emily did come along. We went down to bath house row and toured one of the old bath houses. These old bath houses are gorgeous. Okay, so the tubs themselves were not that nice looking but the tile work, stained glass and decorating was beautiful. We walked through the park area and got to feel how hot the springs actually are. I think they said the springs are like 140 degrees or something like that and at the bath houses they actually have to cool the water in order for the people to bathe in it.
After the little tour and walk we had lunch at the Hamilton House which is a hotel that lots of presidents have stayed at. It was a very nice little lunch and good company too! We figured out that we wouldn't be able to enjoy any of the bath houses because the one that is a group type of soaking pool are not open on Tuesday. Go figure. So we went to an antique mall instead. It was a nice morning away with the girls.

We did more swimming and game playing in the afternoon and evening and watched the all star game. It was another great day!

locks of love
Our locks have been cut...and most of them donated.

Okay, this is a pretty scary picture of me. First of all I don't normally wear my hair down so this is not what I look like on a regular basis and second of all, I didn't have any makeup on (not that I normally do!) But anyway, you can get an idea of how long my hair really was.
And here's the short haired me. So far, it's pretty new but seems pretty short. I really think this may be the shortest I've ever had my hair. I guess that's what happens when they put all your hair in a braid at the base of your neck and just chop it off. There are some pretty short pieces in the back. Oh well, it's for a good cause. I hope my year and a half of long hair will provide someone with a warm head! (Last haircut was January 2008) Now I'll just have to remember that I don't need as much shampoo! Naomi and I are now on the quest to donate again.

Thanks for taking my photos babe!
Greg and Micah got haircuts this week too. I guess it's a family thing.
I cut Naomi's hair tonight and it was the first haircut of her life. She looks pretty cute if I may say so myself. She did pretty good but kept saying, "I'm all done" halfway through the haircut. I don't think she would have looked so cute if I had let her be all done. So, here's the before and after photos of Naomi.

a new baby boy
Congratulations are in order for our Senior Pastor and his family. Pastor and Cathy became grandparents today. Little Nathan Thomas was born around 8:45am this morning tipping the scales at 9lbs 4oz. Elizabeth and the baby are doing fine! She had to have a c-section because sometime in the last few days the little man got himself turned around and with him being so big they didn't want to try and turn him back. Everyone is doing great and hopefully getting some rest!
Congratulations Thomas and Elizabeth, he's a beautiful little boy! We can't wait to meet him!

monday (lots of photos)
Monday morning the guys headed to the links pretty early. Michael got to go with the big guys and play golf too. Greg won and they all had a good time. Doug skipped out on lunch because he wasn't feeling well.

Who said one at a time was the rule?

Micah's favorite way to climb down!
My little mermaid!
Hard at work on...
My little lego house!
She was loving the ballerina!
And loved dressing up as one...
From the looks of it, Emily had as much fun as the little kids did!!
She took orders and made the food for us and even employed the little dudes...
Micah's applying for a job at Emily's crazy leopard cafe.
Noah claimed this ball as his own, he carried it wherever he went almost all morning!
I'm pretty sure Andrew would have stayed and played with the trains all day if we let him.

Micah and Noah had a good time in the bounce house!
Emily had fun dancing around in this little colorful shirt...
until she realized she couldn't get it off!
Micah thought this little wiggly giggly ball was hilarious!
The rest of the day was spent playing at the sand area, swimming, playing games, playing Wii and ended on a not so fun note for Doug. We were playing our Annual Pinnochle tournament and Doug was not feeling so well, so he went back to his room and eventually went to the ER. Seems the kidney stone was still in play! Bummer! They finally got admitted to a room at 2am. Needless to say Dana and Doug did not get much sleep on Monday night.

The ladies took the kids to Little Bitty City. The kids LOVED it. Everything is in one big room but it's sectioned off with different things to do. Naomi immediately found the room filled with costumes, shoes, babies and a little doll house...she was in heaven! Micah loved climbing up the little stairs, crawling through the tube and going down the slide...or back through the tube. They played for three hours without getting bored and were upset when we had to leave! It was $12 well spent!
I didn't want to take my big camera along so I just asked everyone else to get lots of photos...so they did...these are the photos of Holly, Dana and Faye. Thanks you guys!!!
