Last Friday when Kari came over for the Bridal photo shoot, I decided to set up my backdrop and reflector. I wanted to get some shots of Kari in the more "traditional" sense and wanted to test out using my backdrop again...it's been ages since I've hauled that thing out. I was thinking about setting up my light too but decided against it since I didn't have a lot of time and the natural light was pretty good.
The backdrop photos turned out okay but they are not my favorite. I really prefer the natural elements and being able to move around more...well, when you're running into your dining room table in order to get the shot anything would seem better! But really, I'm glad I at least set up the backdrop and used it for a few. Here are two of my favorites of Kari with the backdrop...And my two new favorites of Kari from the session. These didn't stand out to me right away but the more I look at them the more I love them! So, before Kari came over Naomi was very interested in what I was doing and wanted to help me out. So, I let her help me out and be my model. I wanted to test the settings on my camera and see what would work the best. Plus, it gave me a great opportunity to have an inpromptu mini session with my favorite model! Don't you think she did pretty good? I really love some of these images and they will be making their way onto my walls pretty soon! This one is my favorite!!!!So, what do you think? Is Naomi a natural? She doesn't quite have the natural smile down yet, but she sure can rock the serious pose!

I love the waist shot! And the last two you put up...especially the second to last one of my looking off to my side is a favorite too! You rock Jamie...I'll write something on the website this week!
What type of backdrop do you have? It looks so nice and wrinkle-free!
I love the shots of Naomi. My favorite is the second to last. She looks so much older than she is in these photos.
Great job Jamie.
It's great that you have such a willing model to help you out at a moments notice. Such a cutie.
