Tuesday night Greg and I drove through the rain to Warrensburg, MO (about 3.5 hours from STL). We went to see our friends Kevin and Jenny and their two daughters Hannah and Hope. We also went so that we could tour the B2 stealth bomber (wed) before Kevin and Jenny move to California in the middle of July. Kevin is a pilot (and an Air Force Major) of the B2 and allowed to give tours providing you give him your social security number for background checks well in advance. We had never been on an air force base and it was great to get a little glimpse of what their lives are like there. Kevin and Jenny do not live on the base but they will when they move to California. Kevin will be taking classes when they move to California and in a couple of years they could be moving to Africa...I'm up for a visit there too!!!! The B2 is amazing...the engineering of the whole thing and just how it is basically undetected by any radars when it wants to be. Awesome. Greg and I even got to sit in the cock-pit as Kevin told us what the hundreds of buttons do. Thanks Kevin for showing us around and thanks Jenny for your hospitality. It's always great to see y'all. Can't wait to see you in June!
