last day in branson

Friday morning we hit the outlet malls one last time and got a few items that we had thought about over night. We drove back to St. Louis through the rain most of the way but made it in good time. My mom watched Naomi while Greg and I went to a reception that the Concordia Historical Institute had for the fourth year students. We toured the archives at CHI, had some wine and cheese and got a free Martin Luther poster. We stopped at Qudoba for dinner before heading back home.


On Saturday morning we got up and drove to Bloomington for lunch. Sounds silly I know, but we drove my mom half way back so that she could go home...we couldn't keep her hear forever although it would be nice to have an extra pair of hands...and someone to babysit! My dad had come with her on Maundy Thursday and then went to Branson on Friday, then he drove back to WI on Monday. We had a nice lunch and then drove back through the rain again. It was so great to spend the week with my mom in Branson, Naomi and I had a great time and will always cherish those memories. More memories for me than for Naomi however!

After we got home we picked up the apartment a little bit before Josh and Julie came over. It was so great to chat with them and have them to our house! We cannot wait to see them again sometime soon. Julie made this yummy poke and pour dessert and I cannot wait for an excuse to try it myself. We had so much fun catching up with them and hope to do it again sometime soon.
