birdie has joined the ranks

We got a bird!! Okay so we don't get to keep him but for tonight we have a bird! We're offical bird sitters. We promise not to actually sit on the bird but we'll keep him warm for his owners. His owners are a family of one of our Hickey students. The family is still without electricity from the storm on Thursday. The birds friend (another bird) died and so they were hoping to keep the bird warm in their daughters "dorm". Since animals are not allowed we decided to do something nice and bird sit until they get their power back. We let Naomi name the bird and she decided on "birdie"!
