laughter

do you ever experience laughter at the most inappropriate times? You know like in church when something just tickles your fancy and you can't stop giggling. Soon you don't know what you're laughing at but you still laugh because you're trying so hard to stop. You begin to shake up and down with laughter and that makes you laugh all the more. Then you calm yourself down, stop laughing only to then think about what made you laugh in the first place and start laughing all over again?

It happened to me tonight at our lamaze class during the relaxation portion of the evening. We were told to stretch our facial muscles and out of the corner of my eye I saw Greg and for some reason it made me laugh. I was just laughing to myself at first and then some guy in the class laughed a little bit outloud which made me laugh a little more...but still to myself. I then composed myself and was okay, until I started thinking about it again and then I let out one of those laughs that you try so hard to hold back and ends up sounding like spitting...then I couldn't stop laughing and the teacher told me to go get a drink of water. So I left the classroom of relaxing moms and their partners to get a drink of water and compose myself. I was laughing so hard I was crying and then I was crying because I was crying. I know it makes no sense but I finally got over it, went back in and got a nice relaxing back rub from my husband.

What do you tell yourself in those situations to get yourself to stop laughing?
