Tornados...Floods...Broken Gas lines...Kidnappings...and now, SNIPERS. What next?

We are fine and only heard about the snipers on Sunday morning before church, and not while it was happening (obviously). They don't seem to know too much about what really happened. Hopefully they'll be able to find out soon. Well, this town may see some more mishaps but we won't see them in this town.

Church had a great reception for us on Sunday. I cried a little during church and even more afterwards while saying goodbye. We shook about 1,000 hands after church and had a hard time saying goodbye...that's why it's "see ya later" not "goodbye".

I am so tired of packing and feel like when I am packing that I'm just pulling things out of Mary Poppins bag. It seems like there's more to pack than I thought we had. WE HAVE SO MUCH STUFF! Ahhh! When will it ever end? Tomorrow, I guess. We pick up our truck tomorrow afternoon and then around 5:30 a bunch of people from church are coming to help us load the truck. We're so grateful that so many people are going to help us. Wednesday morning we'll be driving to St. Louis. I just hope that there will be people in St. Louis to help us unload this monstrocity!!! I don't think it will all fit in our apartment but we'll see what happens. We've already taken a TON of boxes, a couch and a love seat to Greg's parents house. But just looking at the PILE of stuff left to take I just wonder where it will all fit. I also feel bad that people have to help us move it all. I mean it's SO MUCH STUFF and I can't really do much. It's not that I don't want to but just that Greg won't let me. I know it's good in the long run but it gets a little annoying. I'm not one who likes to sit around and let people do the work for me. It's just not my personality, and it's bothering me. Oh well, this pregnancy is really teaching me to lean on others and allow others to help me out. I'm grateful for all the help and support we've gotten so far. I'm grateful for my parents who came on Saturday and are going along with us to St. Louis to help with the unload/unpack process. I just wish I could do more!!!

Went to the doctor this morning. Found out that my diabetes test came back on the border. The number is 140 and anything below that is fine and anything above it calls for a three hour glucose test. My number? 140. So he said that I could do the glucose test or I could try to help it get lower with a better diet. So I said I'd try to regulate my diet and that maybe I'd do the glucose test with my doctor in St. Louis. Everything else looks good. Got to hear her heartbeat again and she's doing great! Can't wait till October!

We went to the Jackson County Fair tonight. It was, let's just say...a fair. We got to see lots of people we know and got a chance to say goodbye to some of them again. We saw the horses, cows, goats, donkeys, lots of interesting people, and had some great food. I'm glad we were able to go real quick, it's something you just gotta do when you live in Jackson County!

Well, we're off and I may not be back online for a while. So if you're bored just go back and read some archives! Have a great week and I'll see ya in St. Louie!

Just wait until you have all the baby stuff to move with you wherever you go.

I know how you feel with the needing to lean on others. When we were moving and painting and just keeping up with Maddie everyday, Chad would always be looking over my shoulder making sure I wasn't overdoing it.

Good luck with the move.

Heyo!
I can't wait to see you guys again! Will you be able to come back to Peace so we can see lots of you while home? Steven heads out Aug. 10 for football, and I leave on the 19th. Also, I hope you can regulate your glucose levels. My mom had gestational diabetes and wouldn't call it fun. God's blessings to you!
