it's official

Our church is sending people to Slidell, LA to help out in the clean up process after Katrina, they've been sending groups since early September. They are also helping out with getting things organized to take with those people who go down there. Greg and I had talked about going to help out. For a while he thought that he would only be able to go because of the nature of the work that was to be done. But this week we got the word that we will both be going to Louisiana the last week of October to help out. I WILL be going along and I am very excited about the opportunity to be able to help out physically and not just financially or with clothing donations. We're excited to take a group down there and get to work cleaning things up or just doing whatever we can to help. My boss at Applebee's even said that it would be okay for me to go and help out, so we're looking forward to being able to be there in person to lend a helping hand. Please keep those people in your prayers that were affected by hurricanes Katrina and Rita, a lot of work will need to be done to help those people out.
