So I hope that everyone had a great Easter...celebrating our Risen Savior! How awesome is that? Easter was so awesome this year, the service really meant a lot to me and it was great to worship my risen Savior. I think that it had a huge impact on me because Good Friday hit me really hard this year. The Tenebrea service was really powerful and moved me to tears. So I think because of that Easter was that much more glorious. I pray that I can live everyday like it is Easter and remember that just a few days before Jesus was crucified just for me...to think that Sunday's coming and that Jesus would reign victorious over the grave and the devil. Thank you Jesus for claiming me as your own and for fighting the battle over sin just for me.
Greg and I traveled to Collierville Tennessee for Easter. We spent some time with my aunt, uncle and two cousins. It was so awesome to see them. I don't think I had seen them since grandpa's funeral. They only live four hours away...we should visit them more often. We were only there for a day but it was an awesome vacation and time with family. We played the billfold game with Aunt Rosalie, Lisa, Greg (my cousin) and two of Greg's friends and Greg T. Well this is a game that everyone learned from my dad...so you'd think I'd be good at it. Well, being good at billfold apparently does not run in the family. Lisa was keeping score and was winning big time and so I told her that I wanted to try keeping score to see if it would help me win. See the thing is whenever we'd play with my family dad would always win and coincidentaly dad would be the one keeping score. So anyway, I started to keep score but kept on loosing. So I lost big time and Greg won...surprise, surprise. Oh well. It was fun none the less. We watched The Incredibles too and that was a good movie! Monday, we took a little tour of Collierville, SIDE NOTE: when they say everything is bigger in Texas they are correct but they also need to say that about Collierville, the homes are huge and apparently not as expensive as many other places...they are beautiful homes and their hospitals are like resorts...kinda strange...SIDE NOTE OVER, we went to Mississippi, we had lunch, we watched Napoleon Dynamite, we went to downtown Memphis, got our picture taken with Elvis, and had dinner. We watched the sun set over the Mississippi River and headed home. It was an awesome trip and we are so grateful for the kindness of our family. So yeah, that's my story. Now, I'm working hard and getting ready for the many things that are happening in April. It's a busy month! Have a great week everyone and know that you are loved!
