So a lot has gone on since I last wrote. We had our big Sweetheart Dinner...which was very successful. It was so neat to see the youth serving everyone at their tables. It was great! We had a voter's meeting and they voted to extend a call to Christina to serve as DCE here at Peace. She would be permanant full-time, which is something these youth need...and this church. Although I do not want to leave, it will be good for them. Lent 5:55 went well last week and I'm looking forward to another week of that. We had our Mission Outreach training and that seemed to go pretty good as well. My parents came this weekend and that was lots of fun. They came late Friday night. We just hung out on Friday night. Then Saturday, Greg and I went to our training session...then we had lunch with my parents...we then met up with my uncle Ron at the International Center. He gave us a tour. That is a beautiful building. We even got to see President Kieshnicks office...it's nice! Then we went to show my mom and dad St. John's Ellisville. Their principal and Associate Pastor had just been at Grace so my mom wanted to see the church. Then we went back home and took a short nap. We went to Outback for dinner, we were sort of celebrating Greg's birthday. Jordan and Judith joined us there. We then went back to our house with everyone and played Scene It! Then after they left we watch Elf. Mom and dad seemed to like that movie...it's so funny. Sunday morning we had church and Pastor Randy came to talk about mission opportunities in East St. Louis and elsewhere. It was very cool. Then Greg and I and a bunch of youth went to Southgate (it's a nursing home and we lead worship there every third Sunday). Then when we got back we finished watch Raising Helen that my parents had started while we were gone. Then we went out to eat at the Neighborhood Pizza Parlor. Some members of our church own it, and they were donating 10% of sales for the day, Pastor Ken was also a guest waiter for the day. Then we went to the Arch. The weather was awesome so it was nice to be out! The tram to the arch was all sold out so we walked around the museum for a little while. Then we went to the Seminary and showed my parents around. We came home and took a little nap and then played Mexican Train dominoes. It was a fun game. We got KFC for dinner and played a little more Mexican Train and then they went to bed! They left at 7:30 this morning. It was a great weekend. They hadn't seen our new house yet so it was nice for them to come. They are coming again in April for Call Day...64 more days till we find out where we are going on vicarage! Well, I better get back to work. Thanks for reading about my weekend. I'll write something more interesting next time! Take care and God bless!
